Sorry it has been so long since I've posted, these days spare time is something harder to find than chickens teeth. Anyway I wanted to share about a cool little project that I made that has been really useful to me during a recent bike ride. Each Sunday, as long as the weather is decent, I and one or two of the family members take a 14k bike ride to Vulcan. It is a great ride, the fields are beautiful and the properties along the road are unique old places that hold a cozy feel. The town is one of the nicest I have ever been in and we almost always stop at the gas station for a hot drink or slurpie. The only thing that can be a little bit of a nuisance is the speed at which the weather changes. It an be absolutely gorgeous at 8, and by 8:15 it can be raining, blowing, and cold. NOT NICE.

So there I was, biking down the road in the beautiful sunshine when out of the blue it got cold, windy, and started raining. Now, I do pack extra clothing just in case that does happen (because it happens all the time) but I don't usually have a scarf or anything to protect my face from the cold. However, just a few days ago I crocheted this great little project that basically starts as a hat and then, after folding it into three, turns into a scarf. Thankfully I had included it in the backpack that I took along for the bike ride. Once we got to the gas station, I pulled it out of my backpack, turned it into a scarf and sat down to a tall cup of white hot chocolate in the A&W that is attached to the gas station. NICE.

Then it was back on the road, a seven kilometer bike ride to the house.

My face was COLD...grump, grump, grump.

Then I thought, wow I'm not thinking very much right now, I should just pull up one of the folded pieces of the scarf up so that it covers my face...GENIUS. Red Heart, you kept my face warm, thank you :) (Here is the link to the pattern if you care to make it for yourself - https://www.redheart.com/files/patterns/pdf/LW3902.pdf)

Needless to say, I made it back to the farm with a warm face and a big smile and I thought it was great that I was able to find a practical use for this little three in one wonder so fast!

I will definitely be putting this little gem up in the store in the next couple of days for you guys to purchase should you want to do so.

Thanks for joining me on my journey,

~Julianna
